The look and functionality of your connect a.d Manual and Automatic Entrance Door can be transformed by choosing from a range of glazing options, including:
- Toughened glass
- Laminated glass
- Tinted glass
- Georgian wired glass
- Reflective glass
- Double glazing
- Solid panels
- Louvre panels
- Sandblasting
...toughened glass...
Toughened glass is two or more times stronger than standard glass. If it is broken, it shatters into many small fragments which helps prevent major injuries. It is available in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm thick sections depending on the application.
...laminated glass...
Laminated glass is a combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers of plastic (PVB) or resin. In case of breakage, the interlayer holds the fragments together and continues to provide resistance to the passage of persons or objects. connect a.d. can supply laminated glass with either a clear plastic interlayer or with a satin white interlayer in order to obscure internal and external visibility. It is available in 6.4mm, 8.8mm and 10.8mm thick sections depending on the application.
...tinted glass...
Tinted glass consists of transparent float glass with a consistent colour throughout its depth. connect a.d. can offer a range of tints in bronze, blue and green either laminated or toughened.
...georgian wired glass...
Georgian wired glass is a less popular glazing option as it can take away the aesthetic look of the door. It is commonly used to resist the passage of persons or objects when the glass is broken, as the wire mesh remains intact. It is available as laminate or toughened.
...reflective glass...
Reflective glass is an ordinary float glass with a metallic coating to reduce solar heat. This provides the glass with a mirror effect. It is available as laminate or toughened.
...double glazing...
Double glazing is available in both laminate and toughened, with the option of clear, tinted or reflective.
...solid panels...
If the door requires no glazing and no through vision, solid aluminium or GRP panels can be incorporated instead of the glass.
...louvre panels...
Louvre Panels can be incorportated instead of glass. Fixed aluminium louvres are common where ventilation is required into a plant room or car park and can be fitted to the door leaves, sidescreens and transom. Hinging glass louvres are common for ventilation into shops and restaurants and are fitted above the doorleaf in the transom. We can also supply inbuilt trickle ventilation units into the door or sidescreen.
...sandblasting...
A corporate crest or any chosen design can be sandblasted onto the face of the glass to further customise your connect a.d. Entrance Doorset. The design is digitally recreated and formed into a template which is used in the sandblasting process.
