The aluminium used in the manufacture of the door can be Powder Coated to any BS or RAL colour. This comprehensive colour pallet will allow you to customise your door to compliment or contrast with the surrounding environment and building, or reflect your corporate identity. There is also the option to have the door and frame powder coated different colours both inside and outside.

Powder coating is a relatively new metal coating technique and was first introduced in the early 1970’s. In this process, powdered resins along with coloured pigments are applied to metal products using an electro-static charge. The product is then "baked" in a high temperature oven causing the powder to melt, flow, and then cure, forming a molecular fusion bond. The result is a surface-to-coating bonding unlike any other.

As with solvent based paints, thermosetting powders can be formulated to produce high and low gloss decorative coatings, metallics as well as textured and hammered finishes. Beyond the standard colour range, special colour matches and finishes can be made.

As an alternative to powder coating, the aluminium can be supplied in a Satin Anodised finish. This finish is silver in appearance and has a modern look and feel. Alternative anodised finishes including bronze, black and gold, all available at an additional cost.

Anodising is an electrochemical process that thickens and toughens the naturally occurring protective oxide. The anodised finish offers an extremely long lifespan and requires little maintenance.
