Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Glasgow
As part of the extensive refurbishment at the world renowned Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery in Glasgow’s west end, connect a.d. were chosen to manufacture and install a Frameless Glass Manual Entrance Doorset at the entrance to the new gift shop.
The doorset was unique in 2 ways. Firstly, the transom was not fixed at the top, resulting in a dramatic effect of the glass in free space. Secondly, the glass was profiled around the moulded shape of the stonework it was fixed to, again with aesthetic effect.
Our customer, Apple Displays, and the client were both delighted with the finished installation.
