Lothian and Borders Police, Edinburgh
connect a.d. have been involved in a number of automatic door installations as part of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) upgrades for Lothian and Borders Police.

At Gayfield Square Police Station in central Edinburgh, connect a.d. was chosen to supply and install a Straight Sliding Automatic Entrance Doorset.

The doorset is activated by overhead sensors both sides of the opening and incorporates breakout to the doorleaf and a pocketscreen to enclose the area the door slides into when opening. The doorleaf is a contrasting colour to the surrounding framework to assist those with visual impairment.

This was another successful installation through the Main Contractor, Scotwood Interiors, who connect a.d. have dealt with on several other installations.
